Regulate Sales of Face Masks – Bureau of Public Safety Tells Gov’t

The Bureau of Public Safety has called for the immediate regulation of the sale of face masks in the country amid the covid-19 pandemic

The Ghana Health service in a statement over the weekend directed the compulsory wearing of face mask in public in order to curtail the spread of the coronavirus disease in Ghana.

This has led to the sale of simple face masks, a move which many say is unhygienic.

In an interview with Accra based radio station, Citi FM, monitored by Graphic Online on Monday, the Executive Director of the Bureau, Nana Yaw Akwada said the practice must be quickly checked before it contributes to an increase in Ghana’s case count.
