Former NPP parliamentary candidate, others manhandled at polling station

Hajia Humu Awudu, the 2020 Parliamentary Candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Wa Central Constituency, together with some two members of her team, were both manhandled by some macho men believed to be NPP thugs.

The incident occurred at different places within the constituency during a visit to some centers to monitor the ongoing elections of polling station executives.

Mr. Issah Kpegla Junior, the special aide to Hajia Humu who doubles as the Wa Central Financial Secretary, was the first to be beaten with his car being smashed at Sing, a suburb of Wa on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

Allegations making the rounds have it that the recent hooliganism among members of the NPP in the constituency, leading to the assault and manhandling of Hajia Humu and her team is alleged to be orchestrated by the NPP Wa Central Constituency Chairman, Ali Abdul-Karim K. Kamara.

However, efforts are being made to uncertain the actuality of matter from the Constituency Chairman.
