Former French ambassador : Give musicians diplomatic passports for bringing Ghana to the world

Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Shatta Wale, R2Bees, and King Promise were highlighted by Anne Sophie, who made significant contributions to Ghana's creative industry during her time, in a tweet on Sunday, July 30.

She remarked that their representation of Ghana on the world stage was superior than what the best ambassadors could accomplish in a lifetime.

“Ghana ????????, you should give these guys diplomatic passports: they put Ghana to the world better than even the best ambassadors could in a lifetime @sarkodie, @stonebwoy, @blacksherif, @shattawalegh, @r2bees and @IamKingPromise".

The recent appeal from Anne Sophie adds to earlier efforts made by a number of singers, including Sarkodie, who have been pleading with the government to make diplomatic visas available to entertainers due to the influence they have on how Ghana is perceived abroad.

The 'Accra In Paris' performance, which featured Ghanaian musical talent in the heart of France in 2022, was notable for being organized by Anne Sophie Avé, who was instrumental in the process.

Sarkodie Stonebwoy and Kwabena Kwabena were on the lineup of performing artists at the highly anticipated event that was hosted in Paris in April of last year, together with their French counterparts Passi and Orti.

A lively celebration of Ghanaian music, art, and culture was held at the occasion.
