Fire destroys 13 residential apartments, Several Properties in Kumasi
They Blamed the Electricity Company Of Ghana (ECG) for the lack of repairs and maintenance of their Poles that led to the Fire.

Fire has destroyed 13 apartments and personal belongings of residents of boɔho in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region. According to the residents, the fire started around noon hours on Saturday Night, spread widely, and razed down the 13 apartments in the neighborhood. The victim said he was asleep when the incident happened, but managed to escape unhurt. They Blamed the Electricity Company Of Ghana (ECG) for the lack of repairs and maintenance of their Poles that led to the Fire. No casualty was however recorded, and most of the affected people are currently settling with friends and relatives. Speaking to the House Owner, Mr. Kofi Darko said, he was asleep when the incident happened, We have reported several Complaints to ECG on the Poles but proved futile cried Bitterly. He required urgent support and appealed to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) and wealthy individuals to support them.
