Everyone enjoys beef, but I don't indulge because it is such a waste of energy — Efya

The Ghanaian singer Efya has consistently managed to climb above the drama and controversy that occasionally accompanies the entertainment business.

Everyone enjoys beef, but I don't indulge because it is such a waste of energy — Efya

She recently discussed her attitude of avoiding negativity and focusing on her loves, such as farming, in an interview on the Ladies Circle.

Everyone like meat, but she said to the hosts, "I don't feed into that; it is such a waste of energy; I could be farming, it's something I'm interested in."

The multi-talented emphasized how important it is to ignore unfounded rumors and negative energy.

I don't care about the controversy, so you're talking to yourself, I guess. I've learned this over the years," she said.

The "Super Super" hitmaker claims that she has had her fair share of rumors and criticism during her career from those who may not fully comprehend her experiences and journey.

"When I was younger, a lot of individuals would make claims about me about which they had no knowledge. Many individuals will speak in a specific way without understanding what I've gone through, she said.

She did, however, admit that she has learnt to tune out the noise and avoid paying too much attention to rumors that are untrue.

She said, "Even as I sit here, a lot of people continue to talk about me in ways that they are unaware of and that are not verified or certified, but they do so with such confidence, but at this point especially now, I don't pay attention to it because it does not give me any positive energy and I don't think anyone should feed into energy that does not make them feel great."

Efya, whose real name is Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, had her resolve to steer clear of conflict put to the ultimate test earlier this year when she got involved in a dispute with rapper Black.

Even though she was first put in a difficult situation, Efya chose the mature course, apologized, and even made amends with the radio host.

She apologized for her actions and conveyed her tremendous respect for him, explaining that it was a case of mistaken identity.

Efya was questioned about her familiarity with Blakk Rasta during a GHone TV interview, and her initial response was that she didn't.

However, she remembered the name and felt it seemed familiar when she heard one of his well-known songs, "Barack Obama."

After being first offended by Efya's remark regarding his music, Blakk Rasta later came to appreciate it and professed his love and respect for her.

Despite her best efforts to avoid it, Efya has been accused of using drugs throughout her musical career.

Recently, rumors regarding her alleged drug use appeared on blogs and social media during the live recording of her new track on Glitch Africa.

These claims have led to a variety of responses, from criticisms of her appearance to worries for her career.
