Evangelistic Terbanacle of Jesus School have been declared winners after the Maiden edition of Freshfm in solidarity with Scimath Junior high school Quiz. The Objective of the Science and math is to promote the study of sciences and mathematics, help students develop quick thinking and a probing and scientific mind about the everyday world around them to foster healthy academic rivalry among their Junior high schools.

Evangelistic Terbanacle of Jesus School has been declared winners after the Maiden edition of Freshfm in solidarity with Scimath Junior high school Quiz.

 

The Objective of the Science and math is to promote the study of sciences and mathematics, help students develop quick thinking and a probing and scientific mind about the everyday world around them to foster healthy academic rivalry in their Junior high schools.

Since this was the maiden edition of Freshfm in solidarity with Scimath, six preparatory schools were selected from the Gomoa East district of the Central Region namely Multicare school complex from Potsin, ETJ school- Dominase, Gospel Light Academy - Kwekrom, ST. Emmanuel school -Amoanda, Ayensua Memorial school - Akorti, and Bright future Academy - Buduata. 

Surprisingly, Ayensua Memorial School from Akorti for unknown reasons, recuse themselves from the Quiz when the time was due.

Freshfm/ Scimath Junior high school was categorized into two sections the first section was held on 22nd July 2022 and the second section on thus the grand finale on 29th of July 2022.

During the first section, all the schools were present excluding Ayensua Memorial from Akorti but yet still the quiz took off.

According to the arrangements of the quiz organizers, the first three schools have to compete likewise the other three schools in which the best three schools out of the six will proceed to the grand finale.

The quiz took off at Emmanuel Methodist church at Gomoa Potsin for the first section with five schools with each of their contestants together with the quiz master Ebenezer Baiden hosting the quiz.

Contestants representing the schools for the first section were Mensah Emmanuel, Amoah Sylvester, and Coffie Prince for St. Emmanuel Memorial Academy. 

Dapaa Christian, Benita O. Darko, and Adu Gifty represented ETJ International.

Baidoo Papa Kwesi, Kumi Emmanuel, and Aqua Sarah for Bright future Academy. 

Multi care complex was also represented by Abigail kumah Tagbata, Sylvia K. Arthur, and Kelvin Kuma

For Gospel Light were bright Takyi, Michael Arthur, and Priscilla Essen. 

The first section comes with the first contest and 2 contests. Contest one began with St. Emmanuel, ETJ, and Bright future Academy.

Nevertheless, the structure of the quiz comes with 5 rounds.

Round 1 constitutes fundamental questions, schools contesting had to answer questions on Maths and science, and getting it wrong would be a bonus question for partial points.

Round 2 level is a speed race. Schools are presented with the same mainly applied questions simultaneously. School answers a question by ringing a bell, getting it correct attracts three points and there is no bonus question at this level.

Round 3 is called the problem of the day. The contestants are given a question to solve within some minutes which attracts 5 points.

True or false statements are given to contestants in round 4. Answering a question attracts 2 points, getting it wrong obstructs 1 point.

The final round has to do with riddles that are in clues. Answering a question in the first clue attracts 5 points, the second 4 points, and the third and its subsequent clue attracts 3 points.

At the end of the 5 rounds in contests one and 2, the below points were secured by the schools

ST. Emmanuel secured 29 points.

Multi care - 34.5

Bright future - 39.5.

Quiz Master, Ebenezer Baiden together with his consultants announced that ETJ, Bright future, Gospel Light, and Multi care have qualified for the grand finale eliminating St. Emmanuel for the low number of points secured. 

On 29th July 2022, the grand finale was held at the same venue but with Four schools that qualified for the final.

At the end of round 1, Multicare school complex led 26 points
ETJ- 22
Gospel Light - 14
Bright future - 13.

Multi care school complex tops the table again with 33 points at the end of round 2

Gospel Light - 11

At around 3, the same school increase its points to 43
ETJ- 37
Gospel Light and bright future secured the same points with 28.

Round 4 was not exceptional, Multicare was still leading with 43.5

Surprisingly, ETJ from nowhere took the baton from Multicare and tops round 5 with 44ponits

At the end of it all, ETJ was declared the threereeinner by the power vested in the hands of the quiz master Ebenezer Baiden.

Multi-care school - 1st Runner up

Gospel Light Academy - 2nd runner up

Bright future Academy - 3rd runner-up.

Various awards were presented to the schools by the CEO of Fresh FM, Mrs. Decencia Aqua, the General manager, Madam Akosua Aframea, Mr. Paul Agyekum, and Madam Awo.
