Leeds United celebrate goal

Manchester City dropped points for the second time in the Premier League following their 1-1 draw at Elland Road with Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United.

The hosts made one change to the side that beat Sheffield United last weekend as Jack Harrison was replaced by Ezgjan Alioski.

Man City's new £62m signing Ruben Dias made his Premier League debut - the Spaniard took the place of Nathan Ake in one of three changes from the side that lost 5-2 to Leicester.

Ferran Torres also made his first start in place of Fernandinho, who dropped to the bench while Aymeric Laporte replaced Eric Garcia.

The game was relentless from the start but City’s intensity on the ball was great which gave the visitors the edge.

Raheem Sterling opened the scores in the 17-minute for Guardiola's side. The Englishman caught inside two Leeds defenders before finding the bottom corner to score his third goal of the season.

The visitors kept threatening Leeds and played them on the counter. Leeds grew better in the last five minutes and looked more comfortable.

Bielsa’s side had a chance to go level in the 37-minute. It was a lovely football from Leeds as Bamford laid the ball off to Phillips and his cute reverse pass had Dallas scampering away from Walker. The England right-back did just about enough to put him off as Ederson smothered the shot at his feet.

Rodrigo was on for Leeds as Bielsa made his second change with Roberts going off 11 minutes into the second half.

Three minutes and six seconds later, the Spaniard levelled the scores for Leeds. It was a howler from Ederson as Phillips' corner was split by the Manchester City goalkeeper. The ball deflected off the back of Mendy and kindly for Rodrigo, who swivelled and shot into the empty net.

The changes of Poveda and Rodrigo had the desired effect for Bielsa’s side. They attacked City and two great saves from Ederson kept the Citizens in the game.

The result pushed Leeds up to fifth in the table while City languishes in 10th after collecting just four points from their opening three games.
