The Energy Commission Officer for Bono, Ahafo, Bono East and Western North Ahafo Regions, Mr Akimey Kwaako Gyimah, has warned landlords against employing unqualified electricians for their wiring works.

According to him, many homes, Companies and offices were affected by fire in the regions due to improper wiring by some unqualified electricians.

Mr Gyimah made the calls, at a training workshop organized by Energy Commission for electricians in Ahafo Region at Goaso.

Mr Amadu Seidu, Ahafo Regional Representative of the Energy Commission said series of meetings have been held between the energy Commission, police utility providers to arrest untrained electricians in the region.

He said landlords who used uncertified electricians for wiring will not get access to meters and power.

After the training, some participants who shared their views said they are optimistic that they will provide quality work as the training has improved their knowledge of their jobs.
