EC to exhibit provisional voters' register from September 18

The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana will display the provisional register to the public for inspection from September 18 to September 25 to verify their details.

Voters are expected to visit their polling stations to ensure that their details have been captured accurately to help them vote in the December 2020 polls.

According to the Commission in a statement, this is in accordance with 23(1) of C.I.91 of the Public Elections Regulations 2016.

“In accordance with Regulation 23(1) of C.I.91 of the Public Elections, the Electoral Commission will exhibit the provisional voters register for inspection by voters at all polling stations throughout the country from Friday, 18th to Friday, 25th September 2020.”.

The process would help the EC to tie all loose ends and also grant access to political parties to know the number of valid registrants on the register in every constituency.
