E-Levy to reduce Government Borrowing - Sagnarigu MCE

Honorable Yakubu Ahmed Mohammed, the Municipal Cheif Executive for Sagnarigu has indicated that the electronic levy will help reduce government borrowing.

Accompanied by Honorable Felicia Tetteh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Sagnarigu constituency to a Tescon meeting at the School of Hygiene, he admonished members of the association to propagate the gospel of the policy.

He shared words of encouragement to the teeming youth and charged them to stay committed to the principles of the party.

He however added that government will do everything humanly possible to overturn things for the betterment of the citizenry.

Honorable Yakubu used the opportunity to rubbish claims of the minority and the opposition National Democratic Congress stance on the E-Levy that was passed in parliament a few days ago.

He opined that E-Levy will reduce the government’s borrowing and generates revenue for infrastructure and other statutory payments.

Honorable Felicia Tetteh also shared similar sentiments and further advised young women to muster the courage and join mainstream politics.

This is her view that brings total participation and development to the doorsteps of the various constituencies they hail from.

The program was dubbed “Re-energizing tescon to break the eight”.

In attendance included Salam Mustapha, an aspiring national youth organizer, Mohammed Haruna(Prof), deputy national communication director, and Mr. Saani, patron of the School of Hygiene.
