Driver Allegedly Stabs Wife, Commits Suicide

A 38-year-old driver, Kwasi Kum popularly known as One Stone has allegedly stabbed his wife, Adwoa Adiza, a trader to death in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of the Central Region.

The man after the corrupt act drunk poison to cease living at Breman Asikuma.

In an interview with Central Regional Soireenews Correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful, an eyewitness, Mr Fred Abaja narrated that around 4:00 pm, three visitors came to a brother of the deceased, Mr K and asked about the location of his sister but they were told she has gone to the market for her business.

The visitors, who were undercover Criminal Investigators (CID) then prompted that her sister has been stabbed to death by husband. They all went to the house and found out that Adiza has been murdered in the middle of her breast with the knife in her body.

He continued that before stabbing her, the suspect set loud the volume of his TV set and took to his heels to his hometown in the Ajumako area to take in poisonous substances. He confirmed to the doctor that he committed suicide following the stabbing of his wife to death.

Information gathered by Soireenews indicates that the suspect had a misunderstanding with his wife after threatening that if he divorces her, she will kill him, a situation that led the family to arbitrate on the issue last Sunday, July 4, 2021.

According to the police, the suspect went unconscious by the roadside of Ekumfi Etuam after taking in the poisonous substance.

Some residents saw him and reported to the police before taken to Apam government hospital and admitted for treatment.

He was reported dead on Wednesday afternoon.

The case is under investigation by the police of Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District.

The body of the wife was deposited at Our Lady Of Grace Morgue in Breman Asikuma on Tuesday evening.
