Owen Hargreaves is wondering why Manchester United have shelved the Sancho deal until such a time where the season is about to commence.

The former Red Devils defender has requested Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to settle the demands of Borussia Dortmund since its money the Bundesliga side seeks. He, therefore, challenged that the former Man City academy player can help bring a total transformation to Old Trafford just like Bruno has.

He cited instances where creative players whose transfer from BVB became threatening yet an agreement was finally reached between concerned clubs when huge sums were peacefully negotiated to suit both parties.

“I don’t think they (Dortmund) have much of an argument because they’ve pretty much sold everyone, whether it’s been (Robert) Lewandowski, (Mats) Hummels, (Mario) Gotze or (Ousmane) Dembele. Everyone has pretty much left there.

“We know they are a selling club and it’s obviously about money.

“In Jadon, as much as we are in a difficult space right now with everything going in the world, it will be money well spent.

“You just have to get the deal done.

“You saw what Bruno did to United. Jadon would do the same.”

The Old Trafford club has refused to submit to Sancho’s £107.9m asking price following reports of Manchester United’s interest in the winger from the start of 2020.

Michael Zorc’s words to deny any possible deal for the 21-year old is still unnoticed as the player enjoys his preseason with Dortmund for the new Bundesliga campaign.
