Don't Forget to Use Condoms and Drive With Care in this Christmas-Ghana Immigration Service Comptroller General..

The Comptroller General of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), CGI Kwame Asuah Takyi has urged officers of the service to be extra vigilant in the celebration of the Christmas festival.

According to him, Christmas is a merry-making and enjoyment season but they must be mindful of unprotected sex when their partner's health status is unknown.

He, therefore, implored them to guard themselves against sexually transmitted infections (STIs ) by wearing condoms as it is the only reliable means of protection against most sexually transmitted infections when used properly.

The Comptroller General was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Of Immigration (DCOI) Isaac Luortey, Deputy Comptroller General (DCGI) Laud A. Afrifa and other heads of the Service.

Comptroller General of Immigration Kwame Takyi Asuah also admonished both senior and junior officers to drive carefully and be modest to manage their temperament well in the course of their jubilation to avoid unwanted Christmas gifts.

He made these remarks in Accra after he was invited to kick a football to signify a football-friendly match between the junior and senior officers of the Ghana Immigration Service.

On sporting activities, the comptroller General expressed worry about how the interest has dwindled woefully in the immigration service in recent times. He stated that "I love and believe in sports because sports are about discipline, so this evening on behalf of my management I will do a kick to signify this year's football match between the senior officers and the junior officers as a form of entertainment in the service.

He however pledged his commitment to revitalizing the stagnant sports sector in the service to promote unity and discipline among the officers.
