Director General Of NTVET Tours TVET Institutions In Bono East Region

Currently , there are five (5) TVET institutions in Bono East Region, namely; Nkwabeng Technical Institute (N.T.I), Nkoranza Technical Institute (N.T.I), Kajaji Technical Institute (K.T.I), Techiman Technical Institute (T.T.I) and Kintampo Technical Institute (K.T.I).

THE Director-General in charge of the National  Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NTVET), who doubles the Founder of Network of Women In Growth, Madam Mawusi Nudekor Awity, has toured the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in the Bono East Region on Friday, March 15, 2024.

Currently , there are five (5) TVET institutions in Bono East Region, namely; Nkwabeng Technical Institute (N.T.I), Nkoranza Technical Institute (N.T.I), Kajaji Technical Institute (K.T.I), Techiman Technical Institute (T.T.I) and Kintampo Technical Institute (K.T.I).

Speaking to Fabea FM's Apiah-Kubi in a closed interview, Madam Mawusi indicated in an expatiate on accounting to the tour that, it was a familiarization tour to familiarize with the TVET schools in Bono East, and to assess some challenges, encourage and inspire the students as it is important to know the state of affairs in the schools.

"I designed to ensure that students’ transition to the world of work or pursuit of higher technical skills are encouraged to abate the challenges of unemployment", the director general reiterated.

According to her, the interest of the TVET service is to see many people progressing horizontally, she explained that as to see young graduates setting up their own businesses.

Madam Mawusi also indicated that she was highly impressed by the conduct of commitments of tutors and the traditional leader's involvement to see the quality of the TVET, and assured that the institution has taken enough precautionary steps to ensure the sanctity and integrity of the service to upheld.

"I've noticed that formerly, BECE candidates chooses TVET School as their second or third choices when they do not get grammar schools, but they're now choosing TVET schools as their first choices, which implicates interesting in the TVET", the director general gleed.

In her speech at the gathering of students at the Nkoranza Technical Institute (NTI) auditorium, Madam Mawusi stated, "You are the movers and shapers of this country's future economy, and know that everything around us is TVET, what we're wearing, and even eating; TVET has to do with taking the raw materials and then add value to them and making them available for patronage, I therefore advice you to engage deeply in the TVET service seriously".

Madam Mawusi finally urged the students to desist from being disrespectful and truant, but be the kind of valued students to be proud of, and by setting up their own cottage businesses that could even employ one person.
