Dani Ceballos impressed at Klopp's Liverpool

Dan Ceballos has opened up on Liverpool’s pressing game against teams in the Premier League and Europe.

The Madrid loanee says he has never seen anything like what he experienced at Anfield when the Gunners played Jurgen Klopp's side.

Liverpool played Arsenal in the third fixture of the PL at Anfield after both sides had won two out of two games. The Reds had earlier defeated Norwich and progressed to triumph on Southampton at the St. Mary’s by 2-1. Arsenal beat Newcastle in their opening fixture before defeating Burnley with Dani Ceballos voted as man of the match at the Emirates.

According to the Madrid player on loan at Arsenal, he has never witnessed such a pressing game. He praised manager, Jurgen Klopp for putting up such a tactical side to fulfill his vision when he arrived at Anfield four years ago.

‘I had never seen anything like it,’

‘I’ve not seen up until now a team that plays better, that presses better. That game had quite an impact on me. ‘They suck the air out of you. You spend so much time defending and when you want to catch your breath and get on the ball for a bit, they’ve taken it from you again. ‘I think Jurgen [Klopp] now has the team he first had in mind when he started four years ago.’

Matip gave Liverpool the lead in the 41-minute from Alexander Arnolds curled corner kick. The Cameroonian had contact on the ball from a narrow angle with a header to role the back at the top left corner.

Liverpool doubled the lead in the second half through a spot kick taken by Mohammed Salah. Alexander Arnold fed the Egyptian a ball and he initiated a move towards goal. Luiz sluggishly pulled his shirt and the referee awarded the spot kick. With power and energy, the Egyptian sent the ball flying into the top left corner.

Ceballos was substituted in the 61-minute for Lucas Torreira after struggling to impress.

Salah added a second in the 59-minute through a sensational performance. Salah showed a devastating change of pace to deceive Luiz on the right wing. He accelerated into the box and moved the ball onto his left.  A curler was the only solution for the Liverpool man into the bottom left corner before a consolation was scored through Torreira in the 85 minute.
