Kotoko Drawn against San Pedro of Ivory Coast in CAF Confederations Cup

Asante Kotoko Football Club will play FC San Pedro of Ivory Coast in the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
Tunisia’s Etoile Du Sahel eliminated Kotoko from the final preliminary stage of the Champions League competition 3-2 on aggregate. Kotoko won the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium but failed to hold their 2-0 lead in the return leg.

The Porcupine Warriors failed to enter into the group stage of the CAF Champions League and were demoted into the Confederations Cup opening round. They failed to go past the Group Stages last season after placing third under former coach CK AKonnor and a qualification over San Pedro will advance them into the Group stage.
San Pedro qualified from the first round of Confederations Cup preliminary stage by overcoming Santoba 3-0 on aggregate.
The first leg will be payed at the Baba Yara Stadium on October 27.
