Rudebwoy Ranking passed away early today, and Nana Yaw Asare—a close friend of the dead and co-editor at Irie Ites Studio—confirmed the news in a Facebook post.

Mustapha Rahman, a popular reggae and dancehall performer from Ghana who went by the stage name Rudebwoy Ranking, has reportedly passed away.

The musician died early on April 24, 2023, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra, where he was receiving care, according to social media messages from family and business associates.

Bullgod used to handle Rudebwoy, who had songs like "Jah Over Dem," "No Drama," "Yaro," "Level Up," and "My Time," among others.

Nana Yaw Asare described a dream he had about the deceased's passing.

“I had a dream three days ago , Samini came to dash me plenty studio equipments and some money, in the dream I saw one of my seniors from high school “ Anopa Bosuo “ Samini wanted to give him money too … and he said it was ok but him even coming around is enough money for him .. I didn’t understand the dream so that morning I had wanted to post about the dream and I stopped !! Later in the Michael Asambo made a post about Rudebwoy , I went to ask what was happening… and he said he’s taken down the post cos of too many questions !! Then he requested for my number to call and tell me what’s happening…. This dawn I had a strange dream about Rudebwoy , in the dream ,he was seated at at very unusual place with filthy surrounding, I went over to him but he was bit mad at me saying, we were one of studios holding him down with recording and since we closed down it has affected him , I explained a few things to him and even said if it will take me forever I will still bring back irie ites studio .. we laughed and I woke up from the dream , I checked my missed called I saw strange number , immediately inbox biggestboss if he was the one that called me ….only to open my Facebook this morning to see this post about Rudebwoy ! Damn !!!! I loved this nigga like my brother !!! (sic),” the entertainment critic wrote.
