Angry Residents and drivers in the Mfantseman Municipality in the Central Region are calling for the closure of a quarry company in the Municipality as their heavy-duty trucks have turned dead threats to them.

The calling of the company closure came about when the soireenews team captured the company's named Q3 construction limited two of its heavy trucks carrying fully boulders on the Mankessim to Cape Coast Highway without the trucks booth cover.

The trucks were captured with fully loaded boulders with a top speed on the highway without booth covers with no registration number but with a logo of the company's name, Q3 construction limited, and it's customized.

Upon following the truck to their sites at Saltpond where a landing site is being constructed it was revealed that the boulders are being used to construct a landing site at Saltpond.

Further follow-up was done to the company's office at Abonko all in the Mfantseman Municipality and was also revealed that about five of the company's heavy-duty trucks without booth covers which always carried boulders from the quarry site to the landing site are ready to load boulders to the landing site using the Mankessim to Cape Coast highway.

An investigation conducted by Soireenews revealed that the management of the Q3 construction limited has intentionally removed the trucks registration number for easy Identification but has the company's logo and a customized on the trucks.

Speaking in an interview with some of the drivers and the Residents who also use the highway called on the Ministry of Roads and Highway to shut down the company for their truck is a threat to them.

That said, they are now living in fear and panic in the area due to how their trucks are.

Information gathered also revealed that passengers in a sprinter bus sometimes ago nearly lost their life's what a heavy boulder fell from one of the trucks on the highway when climbing a speed rump with a top speed.

They said they have tried questioning the management of the Q3 construction limited to stop using their truck which they used to carry boulders in it without booth covers on the highway but proved futile.

Some of the drivers who spoke to Soireenews also lamented that their lives are in danger notably anytime they follow the truck on the highway because passengers in a vehicle following the truck may all die if one of the boulders falls from the truck using the highway.

They said, most of the Accidents in the country do occur on the Mankessim to Cape Coast Highway so therefore they are calling in the Ministry of Roads and Highway as much as possible to take immediate action against the management of the Q3 construction limited for their life's are in danger.

The residents said they are living in fear and panic for the past year now since the company was established in the area due to how their trucks are.

Further checks revealed that the same Q3 construction company limited is constructing all the landing sites in the Mfantseman Municipality with the same trucks carrying boulders without a booth cover on the highway.

But later appealed for the story not to air on air.

Meanwhile, the management of the company knows that their trucks have been a deadly threat to the drivers and the Residents in the Mfantseman Municipality.

The Management refuses to speak with the news team upon several contacts.
