Agent of Philippe Coutinho, Kia Joorabchian has said that his client won’t be joining any Premier League club on loan this season as he is focused on fulfilling the remainder of his contract at Barcelona.

The 29-year old spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich after falling out at the Camp Nou a year later since his lucrative move from Liverpool in 2018. The Brazilian helped the Bavarians clinch the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and the Champions League trophy.

Coutinho is remembered easily by Barca fans following his two quick goals against his parent club in their 8-2 demolition in the European league quarterfinals by Bayern.

Kia, speaking on talkSPORTS revealed on the White and Jordan show that Coutinho was called by new manager, Ronald Koeman, and assured that he is part of his plans.

“Koeman called him right after the Champions League victory with Bayern, the following day, and told him he’s very much in his plans and would like him to return.

“He was due to return on September 7 but actually he returned at the beginning of September because he didn’t want to lose his momentum and fitness, and he’s been training with Barcelona.

“All signs point to the fact Barcelona have changed quite dramatically, the way their philosophy of how they wanted to move forward from last year and the players they’ve brought in, like Coutinho, Dembele, and Griezmann they’re all going to be part of the squad this year.”

The former Liverpool man has three years on his current contract with the Catalan club and is ready to prove his worth under new manager, Ronald Koeman.
