Phillippe Coutinho will be sidelined for a month and a half after another obstruction from his surgery.

The midfielder was to be part of the Bayern Munich’s squad for their game against Union Berlin next week but the latest injury suffered extends his stay, which looks likely that he might miss the rest of the season.

Coutinho successfully underwent surgery on his right ankle but the setback puts him in a pole position against Bayern's interest.

The hurt is one reason why Bayern would not endure the stay of the 27-years old when his loan comes to an end after an agreement was reached that an inspiring come back at the Allianz Arena would trigger a clause for Coutinho to join Bayern.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the player might be back when the Champions League resumes in August with UEFA set to release official dates.

Coutinho is been tracked by a few clubs including Newcastle United and Chelsea and a return to the Premier League is likely possible.
