Church cannot be gagged by police, says Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh

"Whether we like it or not, prophesies in the Bible are true and come from God, and just because someone has made a terrifying prediction doesn't mean the police should issue a sweeping denial that silences the church.

Church cannot be gagged by police, says Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh

According to Reverend Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, the head of Worldwide Miracle Outreach, the authorities cannot prevent the church from providing prophesies on December 31.

The man of God while speaking to Ghana News Agency stated that the police should not center on the bad nuts in the system to victimize innocent men of God, adding that the work of the church should be taken for granted.

Every neighborhood has its share of good, bad, and ugly. The reputation of the vast majority of clergymen has been earned, and the Police shouldn't use a few bad apples' terrible behavior against them. It's important to remember that the Church's work is important, he remarked.

Dr. Lawrence Tetteh disagreed with the police's orders on the prohibition on prophets making predictions on 31st Night, saying that "we have to be very careful not to toss the baby out with the bathwater."

"I am the first to admit that some of my coworkers' predictions of death and other gruesome events on December 31 were careless. However, this should not diminish the reality of prophesies, and it is not the role of the Police to decide what prophesy should be made at the end of the year.

I think that should be viewed as an insult to the Church, and I strongly object to the Police exercising that power, he stated.

"Whether we like it or not, prophesies in the Bible are true and come from God, and just because someone has made a terrifying prediction doesn't mean the police should issue a sweeping denial that silences the church.

He said, "I think it is improper for the Police to make such a proclamation. It is very hazardous and weakens freedom of expression, freedom of beliefs, and freedom of worship.

Dr. Lawrnce has urged the police to speak with these pastors specifically rather than generalizing.

Because Nathan had to give David certain prophecies, we should also take the Bible into account. There are predictions for the whole country and prophecies for specific people.
