Religious Leaders Will Never Be Silent ON NATIONAL INTEREST - METHODIST BISHOP.

The Presiding Bishop of Methodist Church Ghana, Most Rev Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo has hinted that religious leaders of the country are not silent on issues bordering the country as claimed by many people.

In an interview with the media at the palace of Nene Tetteh Djaba Ablezee IV on a courtesy call at Plau, a suburb of Somanya, the Presiding Bishop admitted that they are aware of the challenges and hardships of the citizenry and the clergymen are not going to be silent on tackling the impending issues.

Most Rev.Dr. Boafo stressed the challenges and hardships most people are going through such as poor road networks, high unemployment rate, and dramatic increment of food items, and other materials among other things.

According to him, they always preach the welfare of the citizenry and directions of development to political leaders whenever the opportunity is given to them on any platform.

He added that Ghanaians expect religious leaders to come out publicly to share their opinion on the challenges and hardships of the country he said, such issues have many ways of addressing them without being political to address such issues.

He, therefore, revealed that the religious leaders have a strong relationship with the government of Ghana and at any time when they meet the leaders in this country, issues of such nature are addressed most especially to the President during close doors meeting, "not that we don't talk we talk" Most Rev.Dr. Boafo stated.

He finally concluded by urging other institutions in the country to also support the government with their little resources by way of helping to build the nation to reduce a portion of the burden that has been laid on the government but if all come together to support, the country will move forward.
