Chairman C.K Akaho Tay Calls For United Front To Increase NDC Votes In 2024 Polls
North Tongu Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region, Mr C.K Akaho Tay, has called for a united front to retain the North Tongu  parliamentary seat in the 24 general elections.

The seasoned politician who doubles as industrialist urged constituency executives, supporters and members of the NDC to to live in peace and harmony to help prevent the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to break the eight cycle jinx in the 2024.
However, the chairman he reiterated that “this can only be achieved by unity and peace among all of us and that is the only way we can easily prevent the NPP to achieve its set goal to break the eight years political cycle.

The Constituency Chairman took the opportunity to share with the branch executives what the various committees are working on towards the party's victory in 2024.
He also thanked the delegates and members of the NDC in the area for giving the constituency executives a four years mandate to manage and coordinate activities of the constituency.

He encouraged all the branch executives to continue working together as one family.
Mr. Akaho-Tay made the foregoing statement when he was addressing the North Tongu Constituency Executives Committee (CEC) of the National Democratic Congress at a Town Hall Meeting held at Volo Senior High School on Sunday July 16, 2023.

The Town Hall meeting being the second of many engagements this year, after meeting Two Hundred and eighty - eight (288) branch executives at Juapong on June 17, 2023.
The NDC engaged four (4) wards, namely Volo, Afaode, Kpekpo -Horme and Dorfor - Adidome. About one hundred and twenty (120) branch executives, former Constituency Executives, and other revered comrades were in attendance.
For his part, the North Tongu Constituency Secretary, Mr. Dzesi Torku also took the opportunity to present the constituency administrative report, highlighting the various activities undertaken between 22nd October 2022 and 15th July, 2023, under our stewardship.
The meeting afforded us to also receive pieces of advice and suggestions from our branch executives. It was a wonderful time.
"My sincerest gratitude to all colleague constituency executives and our cherished branch executives for attending and joining," he noted.
In a related development, the Youth and the Women wings of the NDC in the constituency in consultation with the Constituency Executive Committee rejuvenated the base of the constituency both at Juapong and Mepe.
They put out a splendid organization of Easter fun games which saw many of our compatriots and comrades partaking with a lot of joy.
Quite remarkable among the games were the flip the bottle & eating challenge in Juapong and the penalty kick challenge between MP and Chairman CK.

In the same light, the Zongo caucus Coordinator in consultation with CEC after their fast also organised a Gala match at Volo to climax their Ramadan period.
This was equally patronized by members. It gives indications that the Constituency will need more of such programs when there are funds to always keep the constituency alive towards election 2024.
The Youth and Women wings and the Communications department lobbied for support from the MP and others and on the 10th of June 2023, organised a final watch party at Battor Post office square for football-loving fans during the final game of European Champions League match between Manchester City and Inter Milan.

The outcome as observed was largely successful. Subject to the availability of funds, the wings envisage replicating the same during other major tournaments in other communities.
Various departments have also submitted their program outlines for 2023.
These programmes are frequently harmonized and rolled out in the name of the constituency on a case-by-case basis.
