Alex Donkor Onion sellers at Gomoa Dominase in the Gomoa East district of the central region have threatened to beat Gomoa east revenue tax collectors due to the failure of the assembly to provide basic needs for the market to operate.
According to the onion sellers, no proper shade including light and water has been provided by the Gomoa East district assembly for them but yet tax revenue collectors come to the market to collect tax from them.
Soireenews visited the onion market and speak to some of the onion sellers who retired their displeasure against the Gomoa east district assembly.
The Onion sellers furthermore stated that they can no longer continue to pay tax to the assembly since they are comforting a lot of challenges in the market.
They have therefore appealed to the district chief executive for Gomoa east Solomon Darko Quarm to come to their aid as soon as possible else they will beat any revenue tax collectors from the assembly who will dare to step on their feet at the onion market for tax.
