Central region: woman ,44 died after delivering quadriple , body detained at mortuary over unpaid bill , family appeal for support.

The deceased woman passed away three days after delivering the female twins at the Mankessim Roman Hospital.

A 44-year-old woman named Monica Mensah has died after giving birth to quadruple female twins at Ekwamase-Ogookrom a typical village in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.

Speaking in an interview with soireenews, the Caretaker of the quadruple twin Ama Nkrumah who was taking care of the deceased at the hospital said, the deceased suffered from undisclosed diseases just after giving birth to the twins which according to the nurses don't know the kind of diseases she passed through before dying.

The friend of the deceased is now taking care of the quadruple and said, she doesn't expect that she will die.

After she delivered, excessive blood started oozing her over three hours so she was transferred to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, unfortunately, she passed away and from there life has not been easy for her to take care of the children.

According to her, she is not doing any work to get money to buy food for them so she is appealing to the general public to assist them to cater to the children.

According to her, life is not easy for her due to that she doesn't have money to cater to these kids.

Meanwhile, the husband of the deceased Richard Asamoah a farmer also in an interview with soireenews said, the body of the deceased has been detained at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital Mortuary. 

According to him, he and the deceased family have not been able to visit the hospital. They are afraid they will be arrested because they are owing the hospital administration.

The husband of the deceased is also appealing to the general public, government, Nongovernmental organizations, and Philanthropic and Private individuals to come to their aid since they comforting economic hardship.

The husband of the deceased furthermore said that he sleeps with these kids in a muddy room which according to him is not healthy for the children.

He said, he has now stopped farming activities and taking care of the children.

"Until we settle the hospital bills,  the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital Administration will not release the body for us to be burial so we are appealing to the general public to assist us" he added.
