Central Region Kasoa. Awutu Senya East Launches 'Operation Clean Your Frontage'

Alex Donkor Anncr: The Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly (ASEMA) has launched an "Operation Clean Your Frontage" campaign to curb the sanitation menace in Kasoa and its adjoining communities.
Speaking at the launch, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hounrable Anita Amissah Oboe Love, said the assembly has instituted strict measures to ensure compliance for sustainability.
According to her, the exercise will commence on the 28th of May, and continue every last week of the month from 5 am to 11 am.
Given that, the assembly has introduced the chieftaincy system and an instant punishment of sweeping, because it has realized some people do not have monies on them to pay for the instant fine but for sweeping they have hands and so the city guards will measure portions of the area for them to sweep.

However, speaking on the sidelines in an interview, she said the assembly is making efforts to acquire forty (40) acres of land to serve the purpose of a waste management site.
