Breaking: Fire guts shops at Akwatialine ; multiple shops razed down.

Many of the fire officers handling the newly arrived fire tenders appeared to be making progress until they ran out of water. As they hurry to fill their water tanks, they have called for reinforcements.

Tens of shops containing various items have been damaged by an inferno at the Akwatialine in Kumasi. The products are anticipated to cost hundreds of thousands of Ghana Cedis.


The fire, which began in one of the businesses and spread quickly to adjacent shops before engulfing the entire neighborhood, is said to have originated in one of them. Residents have summoned the fire department, which is presently combating the blaze.
