Parents Raise Serious Concern About Inability of WAEC to Bring Out Candidates Marked Scripts Yearly.

Some Ghanaian parents have called on West Africa Examination Council (WEAC) to desist from failing to release candidates' marked scripts yearly after their examination.

Speaking to the media, Mr K.O. Nyamekye, a parent explained that, candidates from private schools pay their exam fees while public schools do the same for the government but we all know that, the government can do that through the help of taxes paid by the Ghanaian citizens.

He said that what worries him is that, after the candidate finished writing the exams, only the examination results are declared without the candidates, teachers and parents who are the stakeholders having an eye on the marked scripts which are always kept secret by WEAC.

The parents, therefore, commended WEAC for their previous year's performances during examinations both the basic and secondary certificate examination but in this 21st century, we will suggest that it is about time WEAC try as much they can to make all the marked scripts available to candidates before the examination results come out so that the result can be compared with the marked scripts.
