Bloody Clash Looms In Twifo Hemang
According to Mr Kwadjo Asem who is the spokesperson for the angry group, the chief of Twifo Hemang, Otumfour Amoah Sasraku IV who is also the Omanhene of Twifoman Traditional Council has hired excavators and macho men who are illegally demolishing their houses and shops including the only public toilet in the area
Over 60 aggrieved residents and artisans such as fitters, hairdresser, barbers, seamstresses and various shop owners at Twifo Hemang in the Twifo Hemang-Lower Denkyira District of Central Region are calling on the police to rush to the area to call the chief of Twifo Hemang to order before cutlasses and guns are wailed.
According to Mr Kwadjo Asem who is the spokesperson for the angry group, the chief of Twifo Hemang, Otumfour Amoah Sasraku IV who is also the Omanhene of Twifoman Traditional Council has hired excavators and macho men who are illegally demolishing their houses and shops including the only public toilet in the area.
He lamented that the chief has also disconnected all the electricity cables in the area through which power is supplied to disable the artisans and the shop owners to work.
The saddest of all is that the action by the chief has caused the eight months pregnant woman whose onion shop has been totally demolished a premature labour and currently receiving medical attention.
Listowel Aboagye Dacosta of sweet FM spoke with some of the affected residents and artisans who cried that their only source of livelihood is what the chief of Twifo Hemang, Otumfour Amoah Sasraku IV is demolishing with excavators so they called on higher authority to come to their rescue.
