Beenie Man Has Been Arrested For Performing At Bhim's Concert

Anthony Moses Davis, a popular Jamaican dancehall artist, well known as Beenie Man, has been arrested by Ghanaian authorities for allegedly escaping from quarantine.

His arrest comes after he was tested positive for COVID 19 on 19th December 2021, at Kotoka Airport upon his arrival in Ghana.

Reports suggested that the singer, was tested positive for COVID 19 upon his arrival at the Kotoka International Airport on 19th December 2021 and was sent into compulsory quarantine at the AH Hotel in East Legon by some health officials and he escaped.

However, the singer was seen on numerous media houses for interviews ahead of the Bhim Concert which was held on 21st December 2021 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center which was organized by Stonebwoy, a Ghanaian Dancehall artiste.

Reports state that he was apprehended by Immigration workers at the airport when he was going for his passport after the concert.

The Ghana Immigration Service has reported that Beenie has been released to the Ghana Health Service officials and his lawyers.

He was also alleged to have submitted a fake clearance certificate from the Ghana Health Service, which the Ghanaian security officials are still making investigations.

He also made a stage appearance and also performed with other artists like Kwaw Kese, Stonebwoy, Samini, Mzvee, Empress Gifty, and others.
