Ousmane Dembele is on Barcelona’s transfer list.

The Blaugranas are ready to lower the player’s asking price to £45m after failure to tie him to a new contract according to SportsMole.

Dembélé signed for Barcelona from Dortmund for €105 million-plus a reported €40 million add-ons in 2017. He signed a five-year contract, with his buyout clause set at €400 million after an impressive stat in the Bundesliga with his former side.

The 23-year old has played 88 matches for Barcelona and scored 20 goals in all competitions. His career has most of the times been obstructed by injury having made one appearance in the current league season so far.

Barcelona are reportedly keen to slash their wage bill and would accept a cut-price deal for him in the January transfer window.

Barca furious at Dembele for rejecting United loan move

The player during the just-ended transfer window rejected a loan move to Manchester United after the Red Devils failed to let Barcelona include an obligation to buy when the deal ends which would give them the freedom to revive interest in Sancho next season.

Jurgen Klopp is an admirer of the 23-year old and opted for his service in place of Timo Werner who joined Chelsea during the summer.

Former MLS star Alejandro Moreno in an interview with ESPN a few months ago believes the 23-year-old could do with a change of scenery and says Klopp and Liverpool could be the right place for him.

"Well it's enticing and it's intriguing to believe that if there was ever a manager out there who could well get the very best out of Ousmane Dembele it would be Jurgen Klopp," Moreno told ESPN.

"I think a change of scenery could be good for Ousmane Dembele and I think going into a team like Liverpool would certainly be something that would benefit the player and maybe Jurgen Klopp is the guy who has the answers.

"At some point though, Ousmane Dembele has to take a good look in the mirror and say: 'What do I want out of my career and am I willing to make the sacrifices in order to make sure I can become the player that I think I can be?'.
