The Awutu Traditional Council in the Central Region said the traditional authorities have putting measures in place to stop the rampant killings of people on thier lands.
According to them, the rising killing act seems to disgrace chiefs ( Nananom) and the people of the communities such as Odupong Ofaakor, Kasoa, Awutu Bontrase, Awutu Beraku, Bawjiase, Ayensuako, Ofadaa, Ofaso, Ahentia among other under Awutu land.
Speaking in an interview on Hot FM monitored by Soureenews.com, the Nifahene of Awutu Traditional Area Nai Pobi Abundam VII debunked claims that these young guys killed human being for rituals towards their upcoming Awutu Awubia Festival celebrations.
He noted that the chiefs and elders of the area are not in support of such act.
He added that, Nananom will help the police to beef up security in the area by establishing watch dog groups to assist security and good policing.
Nai Pobi Abundam VII charged the police to deal with the suspects according to the law to serve as deterrent to others.
