Authorities Of UCC In Big Trouble! -As Aggrieved Residents Of Kwaprow Gives 48hour Ultimatum To UCC To Retract Comment Against Their Chief
Hundreds of esidents in Kwaprow, a suburb of the Cape Coast North Constituency has issued a 48hour ultimatum to authorities of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) to render unqualified apology coupled with a retraction following what they described as an insulting comment passed against their Chief, Nana Kwesi Mensah lll in the UCC’s recent press release published.

Hundreds of esidents in Kwaprow, a suburb of the Cape Coast North Constituency has issued a 48hour ultimatum to authorities of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) to render unqualified apology coupled with a retraction following what they described as an insulting comment passed against their Chief, Nana Kwesi Mensah lll in the UCC’s recent press release published.
The issued press release by the institution dated 9th August, 2022 which triggered the venom in the youth of the community follows an initial presser held by the Chief on Sunday, August 7 same year in pursuit to re-claim some portions of land the community is said to have been illegally captured by the University.
The angry youths who in their press briefing held on Tuesday, 16th August, 2022 solely focused on the first paragraph of the school’s press release which has in it inscribed that “one Nana Kwesi Mensah lll presenting himself as the chief of Kwaprow” finds such statement unpalatable due to the fact that the personality unto whom is refered a such by the University is a truly gazetted Chief by the Oguaamanhen, Nana Kwesi Atta ll.
Such chief according to the youths of the are has consequently been presented to the Central Regional House of Chiefs.
Following this development, the youths have mounted pressure on the authorities of UCCmost especially its Assistant Senior Registrar, Mr. Kwabena Antwi-Konadu who has his signature appended to the letter to render an unqualified apology together with a retraction all done within 48hours
