The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asunafo South in the Ahafo Region, Honourable Osei Bonsu Snr has cut the sod for the construction of a three-unit classroom block for the Kukuom SDA Junior High School (JHS) in the district.

The project, which will have offices for staff, a computer laboratory and a 3-seater water closet toilet facility and a 120-Dual desk, is expected to be completed within six months.

It would be funded through the District Development Fund (DDF).

The DCE told Soireenews Sulley Dramani that the Assembly would also furnish the classrooms with furniture when it is completed and added protocols on social distancing would be considered.

The Chairman of the Kukuom SDA School Management Committee, Mr Asamoah Emmanuel who express joy over the project said the pupils have been studying in a dilapidated wooden structure constructed by the Church for the past 13 years now.
 
The CEO of Joyway Construction Limited, Mr Appiah Agyei (Wadada) said the project will be completed before time since the funds are available at the bank.
