Ghanaian artiste, Wendy Shay has lamented on what she calls an "hard work drain" in Ghana.

According to her, she has had artistes who have offered her money to beef them so they can get attention instead of the artistes putting in the required levels of hard work to make waves for themselves.

She stated that the artistes got desperate and came to her with huge sums of money after she had ignored their shades, criticisms and banters, which was meant to get her angry so she can beef them in the first place.

The artiste took to her Twitter feed to admonish the artiste. She declared that there is no substitute for hard work in the industry and beefs cannot cover up the spaces created by laziness. She advised the artistes to stop trying to get at her with money as she is not interested in such endeavours.

"So this Artiste has been shading me left and right I no mind them ,now they want to pay me to beef with them for attention Wow What has happened to hard work?? Listen very carefully ,there’s no shortcut to success in this Music Industry …so work hard and stop fooling! #HIT"

Wendy Shay did not however mention the artistes specifically for reasons only known to her.

The brand ambassador for the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in Ghana relayed that she will not risk her reputation as a role model on unhealthy relations with other artistes just for the sake of money.
