It was reported that the watchman knowledge of some of the robbers led to his death.

A watchman with TT Fuel Filling station in Adawso a community along Koforidua to Mamfe highway in Akuapem- North Municipality in Eastern Region of Ghana has been killed by a gang of armed robbers.

The victim Muniru Agbasa, 54, was tied with rope and stabbed in the neck to death by the robbers on Thursday dawn before 3 am.

Unit committee Secretary for Adawso-Boryebea electoral area, Banaba Hayford Naferli narrated to the media that “the unit committee, received information that armed robbers came to the filling station. 

It was reported that the watchman knowledge of some of the robbers led to his death.

Moro Horsu, head of the bereaved family said the death of Muniru Agbasa is a big blow to the family.

According to him, he had four children who lost their mother seven years ago, with two teens before getting married.

14-year-old Zaratu Agbasa, one of the children of the slain watchman appealed to philanthropists and NGOs to come to their aide to help them pursue their academic dreams.

Meanwhile, the police have not arrested anyone in connection with the robbery incident.
