Armed Robbers kill Man in Day Light Robbery at Kasoa Opeikuma Bus Stop

An unidentified man believed to be in his 40s has been shot dead this morning by four armed robbers at Kasoa Opaikuma Junction in the Awutu Senya East municipality.

The incident happened today, Wednesday, March 21, 2021.

According to the eyewitness, Madam Akua Attaa, who sells local medicine at Opaikuma Junction, the deceased was holding a brown envelope which she believes contained a huge sum of money.

He was waiting for a car at the Opeikuma Junction bus stop where one motorbike with two people on board approached him.

Another motorbike also came also two people on board.

The armed robbers on a motorbike attacked him, shot him, took the envelope, and escaped.

She added that the men had a short conversation with the Man before they shot him.

The victim was rushed to Kasoa Polyclinic where he was later pronounced dead.

The Kasoa District Police command is yet to comment about the unfortunate incident but the investigation is ongoing
