The Belgian's return date from injury which was due on March 16, 2021, has been ignored and Hazard is expected to continue a much lower workload at training.

Eden Hazard has suffered another relapse from his injury, Marca reports.

The Real Madrid midfielder is reportedly feeling a slight pain in his previous injured part which has obstructed his current recovery process.

The Belgian has already been ruled out for four to six weeks after a muscle injury sustained in training last month as his return date was closing in yet the setback means Real Madrid would have to hold on with the 30-year old.

The Champions League second leg against Atalanta is seen as the possible date for the Belgian's return yet the Spanish club would not want to risk the player’s health condition, which rules him out of the Atalanta game.

Real Madrid will play against Atletico in the derby on Sunday as they seek to close the gap in the La Liga table to two, with a game in hand for the Rojiblancos to play.
