President of the Concerned Small Scale miners' Association, Mr. Michael Kwadwo Peprah is set to face a severe wrath should he refuse to obey instructions given him by the Amansie West Small Scale Miners' Association.

The leadership of the Amansie West Small Scale miners' Association is calling on Mr Kwadwo Peprah to immediately come out and withdraw on-air; how he is bragging himself a leader of an operation that took place at a certain mining site recently.

Recent circulating news has it that the Concerned Small Scale Miners' President, Mr Kwadwo Peprah led a team to dismantled properties at site suspected to be owned by illegal Chinese miners.

In the news making rounds in the said operation, it was revealed that Michael Kwadwo Peprah who led the team successfully ordered for properties to be set but the angry Amansie West Small Scale Miners reacting to the said circulating news said Mr. Michael Kwadwo Peprah is rather misleading the public with a fake information.

Chairman of the Amansie West Small Scale Miners, Hon. Daniel Kwaku Mensah speaking on behalf of the assembly said Michael Kwadwo Peprah knows nothing about the said operation but rather misleading the public with fake information.

"Michael Peprah is feeding the public with fake information that he led our team to burn excavators and other properties of some illegal Chinese miners, which is never true.

"One, Michael was not part of us. Two, we didn't ask anyone to burn any excavator as he claims. Angry youth who had stormed the concession they suspected to be belonging to illegal Chinese miners decided to destroy their properties.

So, we as leaders went there to stop them from burning expensive properties like excavators etc. The youth who still insisted to burn the excavators and slum structures on the site were later convinced by me to burn only the wooden structures," he said.

According to Chairman DKM, the angry youth decided to attack some Chinese Miners who were already on the site, but it took the leadership experience to safe the Chinese.

"We had to take them to our cars. I told the angry youth we were sending the Chinese to the police station.

"We took the step to save the Chinese from danger since we had not established a full fact the concession was belonging to them. A Ghanaian man initially claimed ownership of the said site of which our investigating is yet to confirm it."

"We thought it wise that attacking the Chinese would have been a big mistake even though it's against the law for Chinese to engage in Small Scale Mining. We later handed the Chinese to the police for safety and investigation. They are being processed to court but we still wait on the Ghanaian man to come and explain himself".

He said Michael Kwadwo Peprah's claims on different media outlets which is contrary to the real issue on the ground is creating a different dimension of which they are not happy with.

"We give Kwadwo Peprah who was not part of our operation but claims himself our leader, to come out and clear the air within 24 hours, else.....," they said.
