The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Amenfi West Municipal Assembly in the Western Region, Mr.Lord Nana Tandoh, has stated that the Wassa Dunkwa Polyclinic has been finished and operationalized.
Consequently, the MCE added that a bypass is being built in the Asankrangua township to relieve traffic congestion.
According to astute politician measures are in place to ensure public safety and utmost security for road users in the municipality.
Mr Lord Tandoh reiterated that, while not all roads in the municipality have been macadamised, he believes the majority of them have undergone magnificent transformations as a result of the President’s year of roads initiative.
He pointed out that his outfit is doing everything possible to ensure that the roads connecting major communities are asphalted soon.
‘‘The assembly has completed the polyclinic in Wasa Dunkwa, which is currently active, but has also completed.The fire station office is 95 percent complete," he confirmed.
He emphasised that the assembly was one of just two in the Western Region to receive a significant water project.
“We are one of only two assemblies in the region, Mpohor to receive a magnificent water project from the region, we have now expanded the initiative to Amoaman, Asankran Saah, Wasa Dunkwa, Gyaman, and even Samreboi, we also have begun a BoT projects, which includes the privatisation of toilet facilities for twenty years and will return to the assembly. We have built a large hideaway in the Asankrangua township which cost over GH¢25,000.00," the MCE noted.
Mr. Tandoh stated that the market sheds project has also experienced a significant development, with Prestea Nkwanta and other villages benefiting from it.
‘‘As part of my role, I launched the self-help initiative, which has also benefited many villages in the municipality, with some receiving roofing sheets and a three-unit class room block constructed under the same project at Moseaso,’’ he added.
He asked everyone to be calm because the Akufo-Addo administration will do all possible to satisfy the people’s requests.
Mr Tandoh emphasised that, while the Covid-19 epidemic has generated an economic catastrophe that has affected the entire world, Ghanaians should remain calm and support to ensure that everyone receives their fair share of advancement.
‘’I would like to take this opportunity to urge my constituents to be calm and supportive. I hope we get our fair share of development,’’ he concluded.
