The camp of Alan Kyerematen is accusing the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of exploiting government resources and staff, according to Yaw Buaben Asamoa, a former New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications director and spokeswoman for Alan Kyerematen’s campaign.
In the race to lead the NPP into the 2024 general elections, Dr. Bawumia is ahead of the former Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and MP for Assin Central Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, according to a survey of NPP delegates by Global InfoAnalytics and Citi TV/Citi FM.
Dr. Bawumia is in the lead with 34.8% of the vote, followed by Kyerematen with 27.9% and Kennedy Agyapong with 12.5%, according to the poll.

Teams of government appointees and party leaders are constantly and frequently working on his behalf as they travel the nation.
Therefore, it is not about him; instead, he is actively campaigning across the nation with the help of government workers in an effort to win over delegates, the speaker said.
Mr. Buaben added that because of the grassroots campaigning being conducted in favor of the Vice President, participants felt compelled to support him.
