He emphasized that although his group was instrumental in putting the plan into action, placing all of the blame on GTA would make it an impossible undertaking and could ultimately result in its failure.

Speaking exclusively to Graphic Showbiz, he stressed the importance of collaboration between private organizations, governmental agencies, and individuals in order to support and advance the initiative. The event was held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra and covered the theme "Tourism the Golden Egg, a Shared Responsibility."

"I believe that as Ghanaians, we can truly propel growth if we collaborate and assume collective responsibility." Thus far, Ghana Month has been successful in raising awareness that tourism is rooted in what we refer to as patriotism. We can more effectively market Ghana Month to the rest of the world if we all identify as Ghanaians and take ownership of the campaign.

We have restricted it to media outlets, who utilize it as a pastime. Our goal is for it to be a cooperative endeavor, a shared duty in which we help the media outlets undertaking it to maintain it. Our overarching goal is to mainstream tourism throughout all significant economic sectors so that people understand that every activity we undertake is hinged on tourism,” he said.

Recognizing the media's critical role, he thanked publications like Graphic Showbiz for helping to spread the word about the Ghana Month campaign.

He noted that the media has a beneficial influence on the consumption of locally created items and lauded its role in fostering debates about Ghana's heritage and culture.

Additionally, he disclosed that in order to increase support for the program, media outlets actively promoting Ghana Month would receive financial support. To guarantee the campaign's success, he would also demand accountability and a continuous commitment.

"We would like to express our gratitude to the media, in particular Graphic Communications Group Ltd (GCGL), for their crucial role in making the Ghana Month idea a permanent success. From what little I've seen, the initiative has exceeded our anticipations.

It has been remarkable to witness the number of talks about our ancestry and culture that we have witnessed on various channels. The consumption of goods created in Ghana has increased as a result of it, among other things, but there is still space for development. More cooperation is required, he continued, particularly with media outlets like GCGL that are leading this campaign.
