Akufo-Addo  commissions Asunafo South Assembly building

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commissioned a newly constructed building for the Asunafo South District Assembly, following his working visit of the Ahafo Region, which saw him visit Yamfo, Dua-Yaw Nkanta, Bechem, Brosankro, Hwidiem, Goaso and Kukuom.

Construction of the new Assembly building commenced in the first term of President Akufo-Addo, with the Ahafo Regional Minister, Honourable George Yaw Boakye, and other officials of state assisting the President in the commissioning at Kukuom, the site of the building.

The President had earlier commissioned a Water project at Brosankro near Bechem, Administration block for Presbyterian Midwifery Training School at Dua-Yaw Nkanta, Girls Dormitory at Hwidiem SHS, Inspect ongoing construction of Sports Stadium at Kenyasi and Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council Building in Goaso.

President Nana Akufo-Addo thanks the people of the Ahafo Region for making the region the second stronghold of NPP and assured them that in 2024, NPP will work hard to win the remaining two-seat Asunafo South and Asutifi South.

The party won four out of six constituencies in Ahafo during the 2020 election.

President Nana Akufo-Addo said through his NPP efforts to ensure that Ghanaians leaves in peaceful co-existence manifested in 2020 in Asunafo South-South, for the first time Asunafo South proud to 2020 election had voters registration, exhibition and peaceful elections.
 
The Omanhene of Kukuom Traditional Council, Osahene  Kwaku Aterkyi (II) said the chiefs and people of Ahafo are grateful and will never forget President Akufo-Addo in history of Ghana for the creation of the Ahafo Region.
