He is among the list of 46 individuals submitted by the President to hold several portfolios as Central Government Ministers and Regional Ministers

President Nana Akufo-Addo Dankwa has appointed Joseph Makubu, a physically challenged man as the Regional Minister-designate for the Oti Region of Ghana.

Mr. Makubu has reportedly been a grassroots member of the New Patriotic Party for decades now.

He has as a result, moved from an ordinary party supporter to occupy the position at the regional level.

Joseph Makubu is currently the NPP Secretary of the Oti Region and a teacher by profession.

His appointment to a Ministerial position came as a surprise to some Ghanaians especially indigenes of the Oti region. 

This comes after the President submitted a list of 46 individuals he wants to hold several portfolios as Central Government Ministers and Regional Ministers in his second term.

Meanwhile, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has expressed gratitude to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for reappointing him as the minister-designate for the Information Ministry.

Mr Oppong Nkrumah in a tweet, suggested that his reappointment showed the President's confidence in him, to maintain the ministerial position.
