Akuapem Poloo advises readers not to infer meaning from her posts

Akuapem Poloo has cautioned internet users not to infer interpretations from her post based on the details of recent information that she shared on her IG page.

She made the remark right after some internet users claimed that her prior post, in which she complimented Ghana's judiciary, was an attempt to celebrate the court's decision against Afia Schwarzeneger in her defamation case against Chairman Wontumi.

Recall that on December 1, 2022, a High Court in Tema fined five people who had legal problems—Fadda Dickson Narh, Felicity Nana Ama Agyeman, alias Empress Nana Ama Mcbrown, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, alias Afia Schwarzeneger, Kwame Asare Obeng, alias Kwame A Plus, and Emmanuel Barnes, alias Mr. Logic—based on a television entertainment discussion programme on UTV.

She was detained and sentenced to 10 days in jail, while the other defendants were each given a fine of Gh60,000

A short while later, Akuapem Poloo posted on her Instagram account that she had just left Nsawam Prison in December of the previous year. Allah, thank you. The judiciary, thank you. Ghana, thank you. I'm grateful to everyone.

Due to this, some assumed that she was celebrating the bad luck that had befallen her rival Afia. But she quickly distanced herself from the fallacy that was skewing people's perceptions.

“I didn’t even know Afia Schwarzenegger will be jailed. I was just happy I am free and December 1 marks a year I was in Jail. Ghanaians should be happy for me instead of reading meanings into my post. Although Afia Schwarzenegger said unpleasant things about me when I was in jail, I will never wish bad for her,” she stated.
