Ghanaian artiste, Mzbel, has expressed her determination to go under the knife for a 'hip enlargement surgery' immediately after the pandemic is over.

According to the songstress, she has already booked an appointment for the session, and had it not been the COVID-19 outbreak, the process would be ongoing. She made known that she had to cancel the appointment with Dr. Dominic Obeng-Andoh Obengfo of Advanced BodySculpt Centre after one Stacy Offei-Darko was reported to have died during a hip enlargement surgery at the center.

Mzbel explained that she does not know if the death was due to the Coronavirus or other factors but she is not willing to take any chances. She revealed that she would wait for the virus to pass before she goes out of the country to ensure a higher rate of success.

“I booked an appointment but canceled it weeks later when news broke that someone has died out of same surgery but I will definitely do it outside the country when the borders are opened,” she said.

Women with huge curves are more desirable according to her, and she has always admired ladies with curvy hips. She confessed that she wears hip pads even now.

“I wear hip pads but it’s not like I’ve done surgery. Some have big buttocks but some of us it’s better we wear hip pad sometimes. There are some dresses that demand hip pad. It’s part of the dressing. It was made for us to wear so what’s the problem?” “I don’t like big butt but I like a curvy hip and I wasn’t born with it.”

“I have a very small hip and it affects my dressing-I got to do the surgery to get very nice hips to fit my dressing,” she further explained.

She concluded that she does not care about the backlash from the surgery that will come her way from Ghanaians, as long as she has fulfilled her desire.

"If I return, I wouldn’t care about what anyone says. I put my life on the line, so I am going to have a ‘hip party’ to celebrate…my friends should mark it on the calendar."

"I already have the money, it’s left with confidence. I am 40 going to 41, why would you want to stop a matured woman like me. I have already discussed it with my boyfriend and he has given the money for it." she concluded.
