Afia Schwar might spend Christmas in Prison if….. – Lawyer Maurice Ampaw

Afia Schwar has been urged to report to fulfill her 10-day jail sentence by Lawyer Maurice Ampawu, the lead attorney for the Ashante Regional Chairman, Chairman Wontumi.

Afia Schwar, a comedian, was reportedly given a 10-day prison term for defamation by the High Court "B" Tema a few days ago, according to reports.

The court issued this ruling after Chairman Wontumi sued Afia Schwar for accusing him of having an intimate relationship with her for 16 months and for using expletives against him in a United Showbiz forum.

Afia Schwar, who is now abroad, has been warned by attorney Maurice Ampaw to finish her trip and return to serve her 10-day sentence or risk spending Christmas in jail.

Lawyer Ampaw warned that "inform Afia to come and complete her jail term else if care is not taken, she will spend Christmas in prison" when speaking on Wontumi TV last Sunday “tell Afia to come and serve her jail sentence else if care is not taken, she will spend Christmas in prison.”

“This is just 10 days, ” he said but was quick to warn that if Afia finishes the sentence and comes back to act as a braggart, he will take her back to court.

“I will discipline all social media influencers and the media houses that think they are tin gods. I will cite them for contempt of courts including their owners until there is sanity in the media space”, he warned.
