Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Ruth Kadiri has described her profession as her calling.

According to the award-winning thespian, acting is her purpose on earth.

She said as a woman and filmmaker, she has learned to create her own visual style, adding that she is sharing her mind with the world through the lens.

The mother of two revealed that movies have healing power, stressing that filmmaking is her purpose and she has found peace in it.

Sharing beautiful photos of herself on her Instagram page, Ruth Kadiri wrote, “As a woman and a filmmaker, I’ve learnt to create my own visual style!

“To Share my mind with the world through my lens. And through God, I have seen hearts healed through my stories. It’s my purpose, and I’ve found peace with it.”

Ruth Kadiri ventured into acting after she was given a role in the movie “Boys Cot” and has since then acted in over fifty films. 

As a screenwriter, she has written and co-written several movies including Matters Arising, Heart of a Fighter, Ladies Men, Sincerity, First Class and Over the Edge. 

She also produced films such as Matters Arising, Over the Edge, Somebody Lied and Memory Lane, which deals with the issue of lies and deceit.
