A man is accused of murdering his girlfriend and sleeping with her body for six days.

The incident was confirmed by state Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, who added that the deceased and the suspect were lovers.

Ifeanyi Njoku, a guy, has been arrested for reportedly killing his girlfriend, Precious Okeke, 24, in a Badore community in Lagos State's Ajah district.

The live-in lovers reportedly stayed on Oke Street, where Njoku allegedly killed his partner for ceremonial purposes, according to PUNCH Metro.

A native doctor who was accompanying the suspect instructed him to have sex with Okeke's body, according to our source.

The odor rising from Njoku's apartment prompted his neighbors to notify the estate's administration. Njoku was reported to have engaged in the unlawful act with the body for six days.

According to Elizabeth John, Okeke's decomposing body was discovered during a check of the flat.

"About six days ago, the boy killed his girlfriend, and he revealed that he planned to exploit the female for money rituals," she stated. He said that he was instructed to have sex with his girlfriend's corpse for seven days, but that he was caught on the sixth day. It's meant to be the seventh day today (Monday).

"The scent of the dead had been bothering the compound's neighbors and other occupants." So they phoned the estate chairman for assistance in confirming what was going on in the apartment, and they discovered the girl's body while searching the apartment.

"The teenager was apprehended and transferred to the Lamgbasa Police Station, where he confessed to killing his girlfriend six days ago during questioning."

"We discovered that the boy promised N6 million to solve the issue; we also discovered that he had his village girlfriend with him and that they had just moved into the estate."

The incident was confirmed by state Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, who added that the deceased and the suspect were lovers.

"Two suspects, Ifeanyi Njoku and Mbam Atunmufor, both 36 years old, have been apprehended," he said. They've been handed up to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department in Yaba, where they'll be investigated further. "It was Njoku who rented the place."
