The lifeless body of Kofi Kuzagbe was seen under weeds on the lake at Mafi Aflokofe in the Central Tongu District of the Volta region.

A 25-year-old okada man has allegedly killed and beheaded a twelve-year-old boy in Mafi Aflokofe, an Island community in the Central Tongu District of the Volta region for an alleged money ritual.

The suspect and the deceased were said to be co-tenants in the same house in Mafi Dove until the incident on Sunday. 

Speaking to the Soireenews, the Assemblyman for the area indicated that, the suspect Dovi Tsidi and the deceased Kofi Kuzagbe were seen on their way to the Island, Mafi Aflokofe at noon of Sunday, 29 August 2021 that same day but they have not returned home till evening which called for alarm. 

According to him, upon thorough search and interrogation, some residents near the lake in the community confirmed to have heard a boy shouting for help until the residents could hear him no more at about 8 o'clock in the evening. 

The Assemblyman, Moses Awukuvi further indicated that upon a search on the banks of the lake the lifeless body of Kofi without his head was found hidden under weeds on the lake.

They then took to their hills in search of the suspect who was seen with the victim that same day before the incident.

After hours of search, the suspect was then found in a prophetess house with the deceased head.

He was then arrested including the prophetess at the  Aveyime Police station for investigation. 

Meanwhile, the families are still in shock of the incident and call for justice to know what the head of their son will be used for by their co-tenant who is the suspected killer.
